Gareth Bale reveals why he won’t join Manchester United

Real Madrid forward, Gareth Bale, has said he is ready to stay at the club and fight for his place, despite strong interest from Manchester United.

On Monday, United boss Jose Mourinho, admitted he would love to sign the Wales international if he was available.

Bale has been linked with a move away from Spain, as the La Liga champions plot a move for Monaco’s Kylian Mbappe. But the player says he is not keen on a return to the Premier League.

“I don’t want to move,” he said.

“The club are happy with everything. Everything has gone as normal like it has every year.”

When it was suggested that the doubt had been linked to Madrid’s attempts to sign Mbappe, Bale said: “I feel like I’m happy to fight for my place. We’re all fighting for our places anyway. It’s nothing new in football. Everything’s good, we’re enjoying it, we [the family] are all settled.”

Perez was also emphatic about the 28-year-old’s future. “I am not contemplating selling him,” he said. “He is a player of Real Madrid, he is important for us and he is one of the best players in the world.”
