I'm out! frustrated woman who helped former classmate away from drugs declares after he relapsed

- For all her noble acts, the lady now wants nothing to do with her former classmate

- This is after going out of her way to rehabilitate and get him off drugs

- She had recently revealed the former street urchin was slowly relapsing

- Online users were however pressuring her to stick around until Hinga had fully recovered

The bittersweet story of the street urchin who was rescued by a former classmate has taken yet another twist after the lady distanced herself from him.

Wanja Mwaura on Thursday, May 3 declared she wanted nothing more to do with her former classmate Hinga who has since relapsed after months of productive rehab.

In a post seen by TUKO.co.ke, an exasperated Wanja lamented on the immense pressure she was receiving after she revealed Tuesday that Hinga had been spotted at a mirra joint in Wangige.

She further expressed regret in ever helping her former colleague because of the publicity that came with her seemingly noble act.

“In conclusion of the matter, I regret helping Hinga. It had brought me more tears, unnecessary stress etc. If I knew, I should have looked the other way and walk away. For those who are trying to tarnish my name over it, go ahead and do so. Never again will I ever help a person even if I find them on their death bed. My conscience is clear,” her Facebook post read.

Online users have on numerous occasions been on her case, urging her to finish what she had started and ensure Hinga fully recovered before withdrawing her efforts.

Hinga underwent a tremendous transformation from the skinny street urchin who was picked up by Wanja, to a fairly stable character who was on the road to recovery.

His recovery was so exemplary at some point that rumors emerged that Wanja was ready to marry him after all the effort. She however rubbished the reports.

Wanja has since deleted the scathing post on giving up on Hinga for obvious reasons.
