In the week where Manchester United celebrated 80 years of including a homegrown player in every match-day squad it was only fitting Scott McTominay was handed his first Champions League start.
The midfielder has been at the club since the age of five and said it was 'a dream come true.'
And the fans were delighted for him too after a solid performance alongside Nemanja Matic in the centre.
McTominay wasn't the only academy graduate to impress.
Just seconds after coming on Marcus Rashford went on a blistering run and was brought down to hand United their second penalty of the game.
Just another game where the academy graduates impressed and the fans loved it.
