Spurs put in an unbelievable performance against the reigning Champions League holders, beating them 3-1 at Wembley.
Madrid were well beaten in the English capital, as Dele Alli marked his first match in the UCL with a brilliant double.
Christian Eriksen chipped in with the killer third before Cristiano Ronaldo got Real on the board.
Cristiano Ronaldo’s Madrid exit
After the match, Cristiano Ronaldo repeatedly stated he has no thoughts of signing a new agreement with Madrid..
Speaking to BeIN Sports, Ronaldo said:
I am doing very well at Real Madrid. I have four years left on my contract and I don’t want to renew. I am fine.
Ronaldo also admitted that Real Madrid are struggling this season having allowed players to leave in the summer.
Cristiano complained about the decisions to allow the likes of Alvaro Morata and James Rodriguez leave:
The players who have come in have great potential.
But Pepe, Morata and James Rodriguez made us stronger – now the team is younger.
We are also without [Dani] Carvajal and [Gareth] Bale. It’s not a worse squad, but it has less experience and that is very important – though it is not an excuse. I’m happy and don’t want to set off alarms.
