Gary Lineker reacts to Eden Hazard’s display in Chelsea’s 2-1 win over Atletico Madrid

Gary Lineker lavished praise on Eden Hazard after the Belgian produced a fine display to help Chelsea claim a dramatic 2-1 victory over Atletico Madrid in the Champions League on Wednesday night.

The Premier League club were in fine form in the first half but fell behind before half-time when David Luiz’s foul in the box led to Antoine Griezmann netting from the penalty spot.

However, Alvaro Morata continued his fine start to the season when he headed home Hazard’s cross in the 59th minute to equalise for Antonio Conte’s men.
And it was Michy Batshuayi who had the final say, when he came off the bench to net a dramatic stoppage-time winner after brilliant build-up play from the visitors.

Reacting to Hazard’s performance, Lineker said on BT Sport: “He really was superb today.”
