Ronaldo is in court after claims he used companies in Ireland and the British Virgin Islands to avoid paying at least €14.7 million in taxes due on image rights income.
Speaking in court on Monday, transcripts revealed that the player defended his advisors and claimed that he had complete trust in them.
Ronaldo explained: “I’ve never had a problem in England … that’s why I’d like to go back to England .”
This comes after numerous reports over the summer that Cristiano was ready to pack his bags and leave Real Madrid.
At one point it looked as though he would return to Manchester United but that was soon seen to be too much for the Red Devils to pull off this transfer window.
The most recent reports on his future claimed that the player had been advised to stay in Madrid for one more season to ensure another Balon D’or trophy.
That would leave him level on five with Lionel Messi with a possible move back to the Premier League next season.
Safe to say, if reports are true, he has just given Manchester United fans a big indication he could be on his way back to Old Trafford.
